You can safely store your combination or key number with us for future reference. If you lose your key, you can use that number to obtain a new key from a locksmith or hardware store.
Does your lock have a serial number? If not, we won’t be able to assist you in retrieving the combination, as we don’t have corresponding records. Learn how to find your lock’s serial number.
If your lock has a serial number, you can restore the combination using one of the following three methods:
Take your lock to a retailer. Ensure that the lock is free from any attachments. If you don’t bring the lock or if it has attachments, we won’t be able to retrieve the combination for you.
Ask them to contact us on your behalf. U.S. distributors can reach us at 1-800-308-9244, and Canadian distributors at 1-800-227-9599. While we don’t charge for this service, retailers may impose a fee.
Find your lock’s serial number.
Print the lost combination form (PDF).
Have the form notarized to verify you are the lock's owner. A single notarized form can include up to six combinations.
Mail your notarized form to:
Once we receive your request, you should receive your combination within approximately 4-6 weeks.
Take a clear photo of the lock, showing it without any attachments. The image should clearly display the entire lock structure and serial number. The lock should not be connected to anything. Any digitally edited photos will be rejected.
Use the "Contact Us" form to submit your photo. Fill out the form and select the "Lost Combination" option.
